It was a stud farm many years ago and the original stables still exist, but the 3 horses here now are for recreational use. We have 5 orchards, 4 for Bramley Apples and 1 for dessert apples. We planted a new Bramley Apple orchard in spring this year and we plan to plant another dessert orchard in spring 2012.

The farm has a new Fruit Packhouse built in 2009 with an apple grader for sorting the apples by size and weight. The Bramleys are marketed to supermarkets and some to wholesale markets. We currently have ‘Red Tractor’ Assurance certification to the highest level and are now preparing for the ‘British Retail Consortium’ accreditation (BRC).

In September, October and November, Toffee Apples and chocolate covered apples (Kandy Apples) are produced for Hallowen and Bonfire night and are sold to supermarkets and the wholesale markets all over the British Isles.
